Business Development Coaching

Business Development Wins The Work

Business Development Wins The Work

Business Development Wins The Work

Business development wins the work. It builds the relationships, grows the pipeline, and keeps the business moving forward and yet the rising generation is increasingly reluctant to do it.

The BD Coach gives your people the confidence, the tools, and the habits to close that gap, at every level of the business.

The Problem We Are Solving

Business Development Wins The Work

Business Development Wins The Work

Business development is one of the most critical skills in property and construction and one of the least taught.

Younger talent is technically excellent but reluctant to build relationships and go after work.

It isn't a lack of ability, it's a lack of exposure, modelling, and confidence. Left unaddressed, it becomes a leadership pipeline problem: your next generation of rainmakers never arrives, and the burden of winning work stays concentrated in a shrinking group at the top.

Why The BD Coach

Business Development Wins The Work

Why The BD Coach

I've spent 25 years in property and construction, 15 of them focused on business development and work-winning. I know this market, how it moves, and what it takes to stay ahead of it.

I've seen the generational shift firsthand: talent stepping back from relationship-building right when the business needs them to step in.

My program brings modern thinking to closing that gap, while keeping business development exactly where it needs to be - at the centre of a strong pipeline.

Why The BD Coach

Graduates & Apprentices

For people who've never been taught that business development is even part of their job.

This is the earliest, lowest-pressure entry point: why BD matters, how to start a conversation, how to build a network from scratch, and how to keep track of it, the follow-up and follow-through that turns a name into a relationship.

They also learn to feed what they're picking up back to the senior team, so their earliest relationships start adding value from day one.

Who It's For

Rising & Mid-Level Talent

For people already dabbling in BD, but without the tools or confidence to properly own it.

This is about sharpening what they're doing and giving them a reason to do more of it: representing the business at events, creating their own, and building a network that keeps them ahead of what's moving in the market.

The goal is ownership - spotting trends and opportunities, and actively bringing in work, rather than waiting to be asked.

Who It's For

Senior Leadership

This tier isn't about teaching more BD,  it's about teaching senior leaders how to develop it in everyone underneath them.

That means practical tools like KPIs that get junior talent into the room at BD events to watch and absorb, not perform.

It builds a pipeline of BD-capable people through exposure, without adding hours of personal training to a senior leader's own calendar.

How it works

Delivered in person, through a mix of small-group coaching and structured workshops each tailored to each level of the business, from graduates through to senior leadership.

Programs typically run over half or full days and are scoped to team size and which tiers you're prioritising.

The program will be tailored to your specific business and can be hosted at your office.

How will it benefit your company

A pipeline of rainmakers, not one or two people carrying all the weight of winning work.

Lower key-person risk -  new business stops depending on whoever's been doing it longest.

A visible return on the investment: confidence and habits that show up in relationships won, not just hours logged.

And a structured way to build BD capability throughout the team, without adding hours to your senior leaders' calendars.

How will it benefit your team

A real skill most of them were never taught  - how to build relationships, start conversations, and turn a name into a client.

The confidence and ownership to be seen as commercially capable, not just technically capable — the kind of difference that gets people noticed for promotion.

A clear sense that business development is part of the job, not something they're expected to pick up by accident later on.
